Mom and Stewart were supposed to go to Middletown and attempt to get Carrie and bring her to Kentucky for a weekend visitation. Stewart called Carmen to tell her. She told Stewart that Carrie wasn’t medically stable and that she would definitely not allow him to take Carrie. They called the police, as instructed by Stewart's attorney. The police said they wouldn’t be able to “force” Carmen to hand the baby over. They decided not to go.
