Carrie is a child who has overcome many obstacles in her short life so far. She was born to a mother and father who each have a mental illness. Her mother, who suffered from Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome, subjected her to numerous medical tests and procedures and medications resulting in multiple hospitalizations and a developmental delay. She was removed from her mother's custody after she turned a year old and now lives permanently with her paternal uncle.
Today we had to spend our visit time indoors at CSB. It's a little gloomy in there because the rooms are all so small and windowless. They are full of toys so Carrie enjoys it. She actually fell asleep at the end. Stewart got upset about it, but what are you going to do? Nothing.
