Speech Therapy Update

The speech therapist has continued to meet with Carrie every week and leaving detailed notes for us.  Last night when I read her note about her decreased drooling it reminded me that I haven't noticed much drooling.  I don't know if it's due to using Twizzlers to strengthen her jaws or what.

She hasn't felt well for the past week or so.  I'm not sure if it's allergies or what.  Last Monday she vomited a few times.  There weren't any other symptoms of sickness except a raspy voice.  I'm wondering if post-nasal drainage is what made her vomit.  In any case, we went to the Ophthmalogist that day.  It was a short visit.  The last thing the ophthmalogist said was that she wants Carrie to wear a patch for a few hours every day.  She hates the patch.  Another day last week Kindercare called me to pick her up early.  She has been a bit whiny and clingy also,  Because of this, I haven't been motivated to work with her much on her speech.  I feel so sorry for her having to work so hard on everything.

I plan for either Keefer or me to meet with the speech therapist soon.  My new job is keeping me so busy that it's hard to take time off.  On top of that, I am taking off next week one day to go to court.  I'm also taking some time another day for a dentist appointment.  I'm hoping Keefer can find time in his schedule to meet with her at our house.
