Carrie went to see the doctor today for her quarterly checkup. She has gained some weight and grown about a half inch. However, he said that she has fallen below 5th percentile in height. He wrote up an order for some blood test at the lab. I think he's specifically checking her thyroid. We will know in a few days. I'm trying to keep my journal up to date.
Some of the speech therapist's recent notes have indicated that Carrie was fussy or didn't want to cooperate. I was asking her teachers about her the other day. They told me that sometimes she wakes up from her nap in a grumpy mood. They also told me that the speech therapist came while she was still asleep this week. She will generally sleep until 2PM or later. I think it would be better if the speech therapist continued to come in the AM or after 2:30. That way she will possibly be in a better mood.
I also want to participate in a session soon. It is probably better if we do that at home. Next week I'm travelling for work on Wednesday and Thursday.
