Carrie is a child who has overcome many obstacles in her short life so far. She was born to a mother and father who each have a mental illness. Her mother, who suffered from Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome, subjected her to numerous medical tests and procedures and medications resulting in multiple hospitalizations and a developmental delay. She was removed from her mother's custody after she turned a year old and now lives permanently with her paternal uncle.

I found out today that our newly assigned caseworker in Fayette County is Ramona K. She is coming to our house for the first time on September 6.
